Christie’s on Friday auctioned five art pieces created by entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk for his NFT collection. The price tag? Just over $1.2 million.
“It feels like an out-of-body experience,” Vaynerchuk said. “I view myself as a very creative and artistic person, but this is way bigger than me. … It represents a paradigm shift that intrigues the consumer.”
These original works by Vaynerchuk himself are some of the most sought-after NFTs on earth, especially when they have been personally crafted.
Exclusive access to token holders to an annual business event called VeeCon after the buy of NFT’s. The first VeeCon will take place in Minneapolis in May.
From the launching day, the lowest price listed on a crypto exchange for one such token is $50,000.

NFTs are a new type of digital asset that tracks ownership using blockchain technology. You can use them for tracking the sale and trade in virtual items such as artwork, sports trading cards, or even cryptocurrency. Vaynerchuk learned about this market when he was just a teenager selling baseball cards every week.
“I grew up with collectibles, antiques, and sports cards,” Vaynerchuk said. “My mom and dad were into that stuff too, and it would have been intimidating for them even to walk into Christie’s two decades ago, and now their son is selling stuff in it. … It’s the American dream.”
The artwork by VeeFriends was exclusively featured in a Christie’s Post-War to Present auction with complete sets of 1-3 Curio Cards and Art Blocks.
A new era of digital art has been born with the rise in popularity and value for cryptocurrencies like ether, bitcoin. The Curio Cards are typically seen as the first edition on the ethereum blockchain that sold at auction this year, fetching $1.2 million.
